I don’t understand some of these rate plan terms.
Total Minutes Per Month
This is the number of minutes you can use during the month. Generally, there are
no limits to when you can use these minutes.
Night & Weekend Minutes
Most plans offer additional minutes outside of peak hours. Because these additional
minutes can only be used during nights and/or weekends, they are called Night
and Weekend Minutes.
Contract Term
Many service plans require a contract with the wireless service provider. This
contract is for a specified period of time, generally one or two years.
Monthly Access Fee
Each month, the wireless service provider will bill you this amount for service.
Additional Minutes
Calls that exceed your Total Minutes Per Month will cost this much per minute.
Long Distance Charge
Calls to numbers outside of your phone’s local area code will incur the
listed charge.
Roaming Charge
This cost is charged when you place or receive calls outside your local network.
Activation Fee
This is a one-time fee for setting up your wireless service, charged by your wireless
service provider. This is in addition to the cost of your phone.
Early Termination Fee
This is the fee the wireless service provider will charge if you discontinue service
before your contract ends.
